"This was an excellent, well-organized succinct presentation entitled "The Connected Medical Home."  Your lecture was greatly enhanced by your experience and as a Physician, as well as, your expertise as a Board Certified Dermatologist and Vice President @ Connected Health in Partners HealthCare.  In addition, your lecture was enhanced with your experience and expertise in teaching medicine as a  Professor @ Harvard Medical School.

I agree this type of technology would be great to monitor your patients with HF, HTN and T2DM, however, the cost for this type of monitoring doesn't seem to be realistic with my geriatric patients.  Most of these pts don't even have a computer in their home and probably would not understand how to use the equipment.

Again, I believe that the adoption of a Medical Home is vital.  Today with everyone using a cell phone the use of  electronics is accessible to practically everyone I can see how the cell phone with prompts would be more useful for now.  If technology can help to expedite the necessary treatment/care in follow-up with patients, I am ready.  Many of my younger patients already engage in sharing and taking pictures of dermatological lesions i.e. insect bites etc., psoriasis flare ups and send them to me.

The cell phone is a great tool to improve patient compliance and simply connect the the patient rather then waiting for three months for their RTO.  I like your incentive comment and yes, I agree that this could stimulate the pt to answer their phone and thus increase compliance to treatment protocol.  This all sounds like a really great method to connect to pts., especially when you are concerned about a lack of adherence in your diabetic pts.

An excellent power point on technology in health care with up-to-date research on the use of technology in the treatment  of patients with a connected Medical Home.

Thanks,

Valerie"

"This was an excellent, well-organized succinct presentation entitled "Virtual Patient Care."  Your lecture was greatly enhanced by your experience and as the Director of TeleHealth @ Massachusetts General Hospital.

Great lecture concerning description rationale related to the adoption of virtual visits.  Today with everyone using a cell phone the use of  electronics is accessible to practically everyone.  If this technology can help to expedite the necessary treatment/care in follow-up with patients, I am ready.  Many of my younger patients already engage in sharing and taking pictures of dermatological lesions i.e. insect bites etc., psoriasis flare ups and send them to me.

The cell phone is a great tool to improve patient compliance and simply connect the the patient rather then waiting for three months for their RTO.  However, I would like more information on this program.

An excellent power point on technology in health care with up-to-date research on the use of technology in the treatment  of patients utilizing a virtual visit method of  patients encoounters.

Thanks
